Farmers Markets around New England have become as ubiquitous as ice cream stands and Little League baseball teams. Nearly every town has one and if a town doesn't theres a great chance there is one nearby. Mid-June, in my area, boxes of produce and coolers of meat, cheeses, seafood, and eggs, arrive once a week to Salem's town center and our community flocks to it like bees to pollen.
This month, Northshore Magazine features a story about Farmers Markets throughout the North Shore, including those run by these ladies, whom I photographed for the article.
