Being a clear skied 45˚ winter day here in New England, and having an afternoon to myself, I went on an outdoor adventure. I searched nearby home in Salem for a hiking trail or historic site that I hadn’t visited before, and what I found was both. Long Hill reservation in Beverly, MA is an arboretum tucked away just 200-300 feet off of Rt. 22 that offers walking trails, quiet benches, an amazing South Carolina style brick home, and chickens! (The sell fresh eggs there, too).
Here’s a few scenes from this afternoon’s day out in December.
