Stephanie and I visited my parents in Maine this past weekend. We brought our black lab, Baloo, along for the ride hoping he would get some prime swim time. Unfortunately, mother nature had other plans and poured upon us all weekend. We did have a chance to visit my folks’ new sailboat on Sebec Lake (see my Photo of the Month in the right column for a shot of the boat I like a lot).
On the road back from my parent’s home the sky finally made way for sunshine, just as we approached York, ME. As a favorite New-England-in-Winter getaway location, Stephanie and I are very familiar with the area and knew the light was just right for some shots of Nubble Light at Cape Neddick/York.
I got about 5 minutes with direct buttery-light from the sun before it bid us farewell to fulfill its duty of warming another hemisphere. Here are a couple I liked that made the photographic portion of our weekend getaway worth it.
