Whisky, Chocolates, and Land Conservation
When I photograph stories for a magazine, I never know where I'll end up next. This month's Movers and Shakers edition of Northshore Magazine had me all over - from hangin' with some single-malted scotch connoisseurs in Beverly with the North Shore Whisky Club, learning what it takes to make great chocolates at America's oldest candy company - my neighbors here in Salem, at the Ye Olde Pepper Companie, and enjoying a north shore treasure at Castle Hill in Ipswich, photographing the President/CEO of the Trustees of Reservations, Barbara Erickson.
The thing I love about these assignments, in particular, are the proximity of the subject matter to my home. I get to know some amazing people from around my neck-of-the-woods and learn about what they do that's so special.
